1.e4 c6
An opening that is similar to the French, but instead of pushing the e-pawn to e6, you push the c-pawn to c6. Another solid opening which is very popular. There are many ways for White to react, such as the well-known Advance and Classical, the subtle exchange variation, and the creative Fantasy line.
