The top-tier Trompowsky

Introduction

Welcome to this video course!

In the coming chapters, I’ll guide you through a complete and aggressive 1.d4 repertoire for White. The goal? To create sharp, dynamic positions whenever possible — but also to equip you with solid ideas for calmer situations where the opponent avoids complications.

We’ll focus on the Trompowsky and Bishop g5-systems against both 1...Nf6 and 1...d5 — lines played by strong grandmasters and packed with tactical ideas and strategic depth. You’ll see clear explanations, practical plans, and well-tested lines, so you can feel confident playing this repertoire at club level and beyond.

Some of these lines are even strong enough for blitz and rapid at the highest level. Throughout the course, I’ll also include my personal insights alongside engine analysis, making sure the material is sound, practical, and fun to learn.

At the end, you’ll find test positions to help you review and reinforce what you’ve learned. So, let’s get started — and build a 1.d4 repertoire you’ll enjoy and trust for years to come!
