In the presented game of the World Championship match from 1985 Kasparov impressively paved the way to winning the title. As in the 12th game of the match he again sacrificed a pawn early in the opening. Although Karpov came prepared for it, his preparation was inferior to Kasparov's, which reached as far as move 19.
