The engine interface of the program has been adapted to the specifications of current Windows versions.

This means that the current and future engines are no longer stored in the directory path /Program Files / ChessBase / Engines, but under /Program Files / Common Files / ChessBase / Engines.

In the last-mentioned path you will find the new Fritz engine after installation. The older chess engines from previous program versions remain as before in the path /Program Files / ChessBase / Engines.

UCI engines

UCI engines can still be integrated into the program from any directory on any partition.

The configuration files with the file extension *.uci are always stored in the directory path %AppData%\ChessBase\Engines.UCI.
