Opening books for chess engines are often briefly referred to as "book".

This term denotes a file from which the chess engine draws its opening information and applies it during the game. Chess engines such as Fritz or Komodo take the embedded statistical information into account and are also capable of learning.

Current theory and powerful analyses are offered by the LiveBook, which contains analyses from Let's Check and can be used as an opening book.
