We offer special training DVDs under the "fritztrainer" label. All DVDs in this series are based on the new Chess Media System. After you have selected the path to the media files stored on the DVD in the program via File - Open - Chess Media file, a separate window with the video opens.

As it plays you will notice that the events on the chessboard, commented with graphic symbols, run absolutely in sync with the video presentation.
At first glance, working with these DVDs is somewhat unfamiliar compared with the older training CDs. This relates not only to the content - where you will look in vain for the familiar databases in CBH format. There are "only" Chess Media files, and during the presentation the user cannot make any moves on the board, e.g. to insert variations.
How can you permanently save particularly interesting games or position fragments, in order to annotate or analyse them at a later time?
The solution is simple. A lesson can be paused and resumed at any time with a click on the "Pause" button. When an interesting position including its notation is on the board, you reach your goal via the menu item Save game. You simply create a new database with a suitable name, and the games and positions are saved in this database including notation and graphic comments.
In the new database the user can then annotate freely, insert notes, or analyse the positions with chess engines.
Note that you can also access many of our videos via your browser!
