Editing round numbers

A popular application for determining playing strength are engine matches.

Many users test their engines under the program interface on several PCs in order to obtain a large number of games for statistical evaluation as quickly as possible. Let us assume that engine matches between two engines were played on four different computers and the collected games were copied into a single database. Anyone who attaches great importance to a uniform presentation in the database list will not like the differing assignment of the round numbers. Ideally the entries of the games list should be numbered continuously.

With the program this task can be carried out automatically, without having to edit every single game entry by hand. To do this, open the corresponding database with the collected games in the database window, select the entries to be sorted ( Ctrl - A ) and after a right-click you will find the desired function "New round numbers" in the context menu.

Example

The program now automatically carries out the corresponding numbering and assignment of the round numbers.
