Videos do not play

When playing Chess Media content, the video window is shown but the corresponding video does not play?

This problem can result from Windows Media Player functions being switched off. The playback function of our Chess Media format builds on Windows Media Player. This means that components of Media Player are required to play the videos.

The user cannot uninstall Windows Media Player because it is part of the Windows operating system. There may, however, be reasons to use other programs to listen to music. The components of the player are still present.

You can enable/disable Windows Media Player:

Open the Start menu and search for the term Features. Click on the search result "Turn Windows features on or off".

Open the category "Media features" there and place a tick at Windows Media Player. OK confirms the entry.
