With automated full analysis of games (Analysis menu – Full analysis), there is the option to integrate notes on the opening system played, in addition to variations and text comments.

Start

For this there is the "Opening reference" switch. Komodo can classify the opening of the game with the help of a reference database. The program integrates current comparison games and marks the point at which the examined game deviates from opening theory.

What is the reason if the entry is greyed out and the function cannot be activated?

Opening reference inactive

The option is only active when a reference database has been selected. Click on the "Reference database" switch and choose a database in the file dialog. A large game database is included with the program that you can use as a reference database.
